site exists to celebrate the uniqueness of people with Down syndrome,
and to offer support to new and expectant parents. Our goal
is to help all families to share experience, advice and support. Above
all else, we want you to have a good time while you are visiting
our site. The activities listed at the left are the main attractions
at Uno Mas.

Are you wondering who the cuties are on our new homepage? These are some early photo album contributions from many years ago. I was putting this graphic together when our current photo album was down, so I had to dig deep (2002 - 2003) for a few quick pictures that would work for the header.

They sure are adorable aren’t they? I plan to rotate pictures of many more of our kids. I just haven’t yet devised a system for choosing pictures / asking for submissions. I welcome your suggestions!

“The photo album is back!” Gosh, I really wonder how many times I have made that announcement over the past 10 years? It seems like a frequent one. I’ll bet it’s been wiped out at least 5 times over the years. I’m pleased that this time, we’ve been able restore all the existing albums and photos.

I’ve learned over the years to host the photo album separately from the rest of the site, as a sort of ‘insurance’ policy. It has turned out to be a good plan. So that even when something goes terribly wrong, at least only a portion of the site is ‘out of commission.’

I appreciate your patience with the ‘Internal Server Error’ issues … it was a bummer that it happened right smack in the height of the Holiday picture taking season!

Yes, Uno Mas is still here! I am in the process of installing a new content management system for the website, which should make it easier to maintain. I also wanted to update the look of the website, as we have had the same look for several years and it is time for something new.
